Residents have expressed strong anger over the illegal encroachments and filth spread near the gate of Shivan Avenue Society on Singanpor-Dabholi Road. Local residents have submitted written representations and an application to the municipal commissioner in this regard.
Several applications submitted earlier, but no concrete action taken Society resident Amarsinh Aji Avaiya said that the builder had provided them with space for use, but some people had illegally constructed tin sheds there and were causing pollution.
The illegal encroachments and pollution have created a serious situation in which young children and elderly people could fall ill. We have previously submitted several applications to the authorities and requested a solution, but no concrete action has been taken. Applications have also been submitted to the municipal corporation in the past, but there has been no proper hearing or resolution.
Allegations that those opposing encroachments are being threatened Local residents' main allegation is that handcarts, stalls, cabins and illegal sheds on the footpath block the society's main gate. This not only causes traffic problems but also puts residents' health at risk as the accumulation of dirt and mosquito nuisance increases.
