Le Meridien Surat Announces Two New Leadership Appointments

Satyajeet Mondal brings over 19 years of culinary experience to his new role. Prior to joining Le Meridien Surat, he held leadership positions at Le Meridien Paro Riverfront and Sheraton Grand Palace Indore.

During his career, he received the Manager of the Year award in 2021 and won the APEC International Chef’s Day competition in 2023.

As Executive Chef, Satyajeet will manage the hotel’s kitchen operations and menu development, with a focus on integrating international culinary practices with regional Gujarat cuisine.

Abhay Tandel assumes the role of Director of Food & Beverage with over 14 years of hospitality experience. He most recently served as Associate Director of Food & Beverage at Courtyard by Marriott Surat. His earlier career includes positions at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, Kochi Marriott Hotel, Renaissance Ahmedabad Hotel , and Courtyard by Marriott Ahmedabad.

Abhay was recognized as Banqueting Manager of the Year at the Hotelier India Awards in 2018 and has received Gold Circle and Diamond Circle honors.
