The Four Seasons Mumbai was a very comfortable refuge during my trip to India, which was especially welcome when Delhi Belly struck unexpectedly . Between the monsoon rain outside and my stomach troubles inside, I spent more time at this hotel than expected, making me all the more thankful I had chosen to splurge for it.
I spent the final part of my time in Mumbai at the Four Seasons, moving here after a night in the Fort neighborhood .
As I shared in my initial account of the stay , I paid $207 per night and booked through Scott & Thomas . The reservation included breakfast, a room upgrade, late checkout, and a $100 hotel credit. That is an undeniably attractive rate for a Four Seasons, particularly with those benefits included.
I also need to acknowledge the circumstances of this stay. As I wrote at the time , I became quite ill while in Mumbai. I never established what caused it, but it meant frequent trips to the bathroom and considerably less exploring than I had planned.
The Four Seasons is located on Dr. E. Moses Road in Worli, near the commercial and shopping district of Lower Parel. This is a different base from the Fort neighborhood where I had stayed the previous night. Rather than being among the historic buildings near St. Thomas Cathedral, the hotel sits in a part of Mumbai characterized by offices, residential towers, and redevelopment.
