Mumbai weather remained partly cloudy and dry on Sunday, November 1, with no rainfall recorded at the Colaba and Santacruz observatories, while minimum temperatures stayed significantly above normal and air quality varied across neighbourhoods.
According to the India Meteorological Department’s latest update, Colaba recorded a minimum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius, which was 1.7 degrees above normal. Santacruz recorded a minimum temperature of 23.9 degrees Celsius, 1.6 degrees above normal. The conditions were expected to keep the city relatively warm through the day, with partly cloudy skies continuing across Mumbai.
The observations indicate that the city entered November with higher-than-normal minimum temperatures despite the seasonal shift towards cooler conditions. The weather remained largely dry across several parts of Maharashtra, with no rainfall recorded at most reporting stations.
Dahanu recorded Maharashtra’s highest maximum temperature at 35.7 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department also indicated that Pune was likely to experience mainly clear skies, becoming partly cloudy towards the afternoon or evening. Light rain or thundershowers were expected in the Ghat areas of Pune.
