Manolo Marquez's future with Mumbai City FC is in doubt after only four matches in the Indian Super League 2026/27.
The veteran Spanish coach had been handed the reigns at the start of the season as he replaced Petr Kratky as the head coach.
Marquez is well-versed with Indian football, having worked with FC Goa, Hyderabad FC and even coaching the Indian men's national team for a while.
Rumours of his departure gained strength after the team's latest defeat. Mumbai squandered a 2-0 lead at half-time, to crash to a 2-3 defeat to SC Delhi in their first home game of the season on Sunday, November 1.
The pressure is piling on Marquez as Mumbai has earned only two points in their first four ISL matches. They are currently languishing at 11th in the ISL standings.
