Surat teacher provides free education to 3,000 ‘sisters’: Students become doctors, teachers; 321 tie rakhi

His story shows that genuine service requires not just money but also a compassionate heart. Surat teacher Naresh Mehta has spent years helping girls and women complete their education and build independent lives.
For the past 12 years, he has provided free online education to girls who had dropped out of school because of difficult circumstances. His efforts have helped them resume their studies and pursue their dreams.
This Rakshabandhan, 321 of his students and ‘sisters’ tied rakhi to him together. Some came with their sons, while others arrived with their mothers.

Naresh Mehta, a resident of Barbatana village in Rajula, Amreli, has been associated with education since 2002.
