Surat, August 8. A delegation led by Ashok Jirawala, President of the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), held an important meeting with Mangala Wijesinghe, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), on the last day of their visit to Sri Lanka.
The meeting focused on strengthening trade and investment relations between India and Sri Lanka and connecting entrepreneurs from South Gujarat with investment opportunities available in Sri Lanka. After a gap of about 15 years, the 'Sri Lanka Expo 2027' is being organized globally by the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development and the Export Development Board of Sri Lanka. This expo will take place from January 14 to 17, 2027, at the BMICH in Colombo, with the participation of investors and entrepreneurs from around the world expected.
