Surat: Official GR of Gujarat Industrial Policy-2026 to be Released Soon

Surat. The Gujarat government is expected to soon release the official Government Resolution (GR) for the 'Gujarat Industrial Policy-2026' announced on June 15, 2026.

Nearly two months after the announcement of the new industrial policy, the absence of the GR has left investors and entrepreneurs uncertain about the provisions and incentives of the policy. Regarding this issue, Ashok Jirawala, President of the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCII), and Honorary Treasurer Atul Patel presented a detailed presentation on August 12 in Gandhinagar to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, and Additional Chief Secretary Mamta Verma from the Industries and Mines Department. The chamber informed the state government that the lack of an official GR after the announcement of the industrial policy has left entrepreneurs waiting for final clarity on the incentives, subsidies, and other provisions available under the new policy.
