Surat: Insect Found in Sizzler at Bonzai Cafe in VR Mall

Kamlesh Taide, a Surat resident, said he had visited the cafe with his family and ordered a variety of dishes. However, their meal took an unpleasant turn when they found a small insect in the sizzler after eating nearly half of it.

According to Taide, he immediately brought the matter to the cafe manager’s attention. The manager allegedly acknowledged the mistake and suggested that it could have occurred due to negligence by the cooking staff.

Taide further alleged that when he attempted to record the incident on his phone, the manager and other staff members stopped him from filming. He said the staff objected to the video recording, claiming he did not have the authority to shoot a video inside the cafe.

Upset over the incident, Taide lodged an official complaint with the SMC, seeking attention to the alleged food hygiene lapse at the establishment.
