The guidance was provided during an interactive session organised by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) in collaboration with the U.S. Consulate Mumbai and U.S. Commercial Service at Sanhati Bhavan, Sarsana, on September 24.
SGCCI President Ashok Jirawala said Surat’s entrepreneurs were increasingly transitioning from local businesses to global operations, but stressed the need for careful preparation.
Entrepreneurs from Surat and South Gujarat are now stepping out of traditional frameworks and expanding their business horizons into global markets. However, achieving global success requires a systematic study of local regulations, market dynamics, consumer needs and the business environment,” Jirawala said.
Desai also invited SGCCI members and industrialists to participate in the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2027, describing it as an important platform for companies exploring greenfield and brownfield investment opportunities in the United States.
