Surat devotees do sit-ups before Ganpati Bappa, seek forgiveness ahead of visarjan

Before Ganesh Visarjan, members of Surat’s Gupteshwar Yuvak Mandal in Phulpada performed sit-ups while holding their ears before Lord Ganesha, seeking forgiveness for any mistakes made during the 10 days of worship.

The emotional ritual was followed by a devotional farewell with dhol-nagadas and chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya”.
