Abhishek won gold in the Mixed Doubles (Open Category), while securing silver medals in Men’s Doubles and Men’s Singles. His achievement of winning medals in all three categories he contested has brought recognition to the Surat ASG unit and the CISF fraternity.
He was presented with the medals and certificates at a formal awards ceremony during the championship.
On his return to Surat International Airport on October 30, Abhishek received a warm welcome from Airport Director Anand N. Sharma, who felicitated him for his performance. CISF officers and personnel were also present to congratulate the commandant and celebrate his achievement.
The triple-medal haul has been described as a moment of pride for the airport security unit and the force. Abhishek’s performance highlighted the role of discipline, dedication and sustained practice in achieving sporting excellence alongside professional responsibilities.
