Mauna, who won the Ms. Universe Asia title and the Most Beautiful Smile of India award in 2019, has marked a new milestone in her career by stepping into a lead acting role in the project. According to information shared by the film’s team, Hide & Seek won a Golden Award at Italy’s Florence Film Festival and received another award at UFMC Cine Goa. The film has also been recognised at the Egyptian American Film Festival and recently selected for the Cannes World Film Festival.

The film’s reported festival journey has brought attention to Mauna’s transition from modelling, fashion and classical dance to acting in an international production.

The daughter of Vallabhbhai Shah and Kokilaben Shah, Mauna began her journey in Surat before pursuing opportunities in modelling and entertainment. Her latest project represents a new chapter in her career and highlights the aspirations of regional artists seeking opportunities beyond India.

The film is directed by Raahi and produced by Uday Sheti. The project also features artist Veronica Shah, described by the film’s team as the first child artist from Gujarat to gain recognition in Hollywood.
