Stepfather sexually abused minor before death: DNA report exposes accused in 2-year-old natural death case

The forensic post-mortem report revealed that the minor had been raped before her death. When the police conducted further investigations based on the evidence, it was discovered that this heinous act was committed by the victim's stepfather, leading to his arrest.

On June 8, 2024, the brother of the deceased minor reported to the Surat Athwalines police that his sister had suddenly started vomiting and foaming at the mouth. When she was rushed to the hospital via a 108 ambulance, doctors declared her dead.

At that time, a case of accidental death was registered, and a post-mortem was conducted at the New Civil Hospital. To determine the exact cause of death, the victim's viscera and other samples were collected and sent to the FSL.

Two years after the incident, the forensic department of Surat's New Civil Hospital submitted the final 'Cause of Death' certificate to the police. Upon reviewing the report, even the police officers were shocked.

The report clearly noted that the girl died due to a lung disease, but it also found signs of minor injuries on her body, evidence of forced sexual assault on her private parts, and traces of semen.
