Rain to intensify across Gujarat from September 12: Yellow alert in 9 districts including Surat, Vadodara

An orange alert for extremely heavy rain has been issued for Navsari, Valsad and Dang from September 13.
After a prolonged dry spell, the forecast of heavy rain in several districts is likely to bring relief to farmers and crops.
Meanwhile, Amreli district witnessed a change in weather for the second consecutive day on September 10. Rain showers were reported in rural areas of the Khambha-Gir region.
Heavy rain lashed Bhad village in Khambha, with rainwater flowing through the village streets. The showers are expected to provide much-needed relief to crops, including cotton and groundnuts.
