Massive Fire In Surat Textile Market: Many Shops Burnt Down

Gandhinagar/Hyderabad, Sept 9 (Maxim News): A major fire broke out in a multi-storey textile market in Surat. Several shops were gutted in the incident. 150 firefighters and 25 fire engines doused the fire. One firefighter was injured and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The incident took place in Surat, Gujarat. A major fire broke out in a multi-storey textile market in the early hours of Wednesday. The fire that broke out in the Shyam Sangini textile market spread to several shops. In this context, more than 12 textile shops were gutted. Synthetic goods kept outside the textile shops on the sixth floor were completely burnt in the fire, which spread to other shops, textile traders said.

Meanwhile, 25 fire engines reached the spot as soon as they were informed about the fire.
