At that time, a leopard was spotted prowling on a high wall near the Dharagadh gate of the fort. Seeing a wild animal roaming freely near a bustling tourist spot terrified the visitors, who moved to safe locations to save their lives. Considering the safety of tourists, the Uparkot Fort has been kept closed today.

Upon seeing a leopard climbing the fort wall, the locals and tourists present immediately captured the scenes on their mobile cameras. The video went viral on social media, causing widespread concern in the entire region.

The forest department was informed about the incident, and a team immediately reached near the Dharagadh gate. As the movement of people increased, the leopard fled into the nearby bushes, following which the forest department team launched an intensive search operation and patrolling in the surrounding forest area.

It has been reported that a leopard was spotted twice again in the fort area last night. Due to the leopard's presence late at night, the forest department has started taking strict measures, keeping in mind the safety of tourists and locals.

Two cages have been set up by the forest department in the fort premises to safely capture the leopard, and continuous monitoring is being carried out.
