Reported by Bhaskar English
BJP leader Mukesh Gujarati, convenor of the Gujarat BJP State Booth Management Cell, reacted to the court's stance on social media. He wrote that if a judge has a problem with the administration, they should enter the election arena once to know what the public wants.
The Gujarat High Court Advocates' Association has condemned Gujarati's statement and called an urgent meeting. The association has decided to appeal to the BJP National President to remove Gujarati from his post. It will also file an intervention application in the suo motu petition filed by the High Court against Rajdeepsinh Nakum.
Members of the High Court Advocates Association gathered to pass a resolution in protest of the controversial post made by BJP leader Mukesh Gujarati against a High Court judge. Association President Yatin Oza said that,
This is not about any judge; it is about the dignity of the court. A message will be sent from the bar to BJP National President Nitin Navin that they should expel Mukesh Gujarati from the BJP party. Most lawyers supported the president's statement.
