Gujarat lawyers strike against Rent Bill 2026, halting court proceedings in Surat and Vadodara. Lawyers across Gujarat have launched a protest against the recently introduced Gujarat Rent Bill-2026. The lawyers claim that the new law has dealt a major blow to the judicial system by taking away the powers of judicial authorities and handing them over to executive authorities.
