Hotel CCTV leads police to Gujarat: Missing child found in Surat, another girl found alone in Jaipur

After completing the necessary formalities, the police handed the boy over to his family. Meanwhile, the circumstances in which the girl travelled from Ajmer to Jaipur and was found there are being investigated.

According to the police, the 14-year-old boy worked at a hotel in Ajmer. Around 20 days ago, after speaking to a vegetable trader from Vadodara who was staying at the hotel, he was persuaded to leave and work elsewhere. After the boy went missing, the police examined the hotel's CCTV footage. Footage from the railway station showed the trader walking behind the boy.

After obtaining the businessman's name and address from the hotel records, the police team reached Vadodara. There, information was gathered with the help of the local police. The investigation revealed that the child had boarded a train on the Gujarat route. The police then examined CCTV footage from several railway stations and sought the help of the child helpline. After sustained efforts, the child was traced and recovered from Surat.

In a second case, a 13-year-old girl who had been missing for about two weeks was found alone, crying inconsolably, at the Sindhi Camp bus stand in Jaipur. The police are now trying to determine how the girl travelled from Ajmer to Jaipur, the circumstances in which she went there and whether anyone else was with her.
