Hindu leader Updesh Rana receives bomb threat: Caller threatens to blow up his home and office; Godadara po

Following the threat, which was received in the presence of his security guard, the entire matter was reported to the Godadara police station. Surat Police have immediately deployed additional security at Updesh Rana's residence and launched an investigation to identify the unknown caller.

WhatsApp message asking for location received Thirty-seven-year-old Updesh Rana, a resident of Sarthi Avenue in Godadara, was at home with his family on the night of September 5, 2026. At around 1:36 a.m., he received a message on WhatsApp from an unknown mobile number. The message, sent in Hindi, contained the threat: "If you are a real man, send me your location. I will come to your house and kill you." Since it was late at night, Updesh Rana decided it was best to ignore the message and go to sleep without responding.

Threatened with being blown up by bomb At 10:22 a.m. on September 6, 2026, he again received a WhatsApp audio call from the same unknown number. As soon as he answered the call, the person on the other end said in an extremely aggressive manner, "You will not be able to escape now. We are near you. We are going to plant bombs in your house and office and blow them up." He was thus threatened with being killed in a bomb blast.
