Reported by Gujarat Samachar

The Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Branch and Surat Crime Branch have arrested two men from Chennai in connection with an email threatening to bomb the Gujarat High Court and Surat Sessions Court with RDX, police said. Investigators suspect the alleged threat was part of a conspiracy by a parole jumper to disrupt court proceedings and mislead police ahead of his scheduled trial in Surat.

The arrests followed a technical investigation into emails sent to the Gujarat High Court's official email address on September 5, just days before the alleged accused was due to appear in court.

Police said two emails were sent at 11.57 am and 11.59 am on September 5 , carrying the message: "Bomb rdx Ahmadabad and Surat court aaj bomb blast hoga."

Technical analysis and human intelligence subsequently led investigators to Chennai, where they arrested Mohammed Asfaq Mohammed Aslam Ansari , 28, a resident of Holi Bungalow in Surat, and his alleged associate Rajesh alias Raj Mikel Munia , 33, a Surat resident originally from Madhya Pradesh.

According to police, Ansari was previously arrested by the Surat DCB in an NDPS case after he was allegedly found possessing 512 grams of hybrid ganja .
