Gujarat constable tenders resignation to work for RSS, BJP full-time; vows to stay barefoot till 2029

RAJKOT: In an unusual development, a 32-year-old police constable posted with Kutch East Police has submitted his resignation, expressing his desire to work full-time for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in support of the Union government.
Ramgar Mohangar, who has been serving at Adesar Police Station for more than three years, submitted his resignation letter to the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Kutch East on August 14, 2026.
Vow to go barefoot until 2029In his letter and subsequent statements, Mohangar cited recent political developments, including a protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar and the subsequent resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. While asserting that Pradhan should not have stepped down, Mohangar said the minister resigned as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's team to respect the demands of the youth and safeguard national unity.
Expressing satisfaction with the NDA government's recent overhaul of the examination system, the constable said he intends to dedicate his life to strengthening the RSS and supporting the Modi government. He further vowed to remain barefoot until the Modi-led government is re-elected at the Centre in 2029.
