CM Patel assures after chamber raises concerns: Investors in limbo over industrial policy GR delay; project

Several proposed projects involving investments worth billions of rupees, along with subsidy-related decisions, are currently awaiting clarity on the final guidelines.

Investors from India and abroad want to study the final GR before committing large sums to new factories. In the absence of clear guidelines, decisions related to land purchases, plant layouts and machinery orders are being held back.

District Industries Centres (DICs) and government portals have not yet started accepting applications for capital and interest subsidies under the new policy.

This has also raised concerns among units being established during the transition from the previous industrial policy to the new one.
