The “GET TOGETHER – Mission for High Court Bench at Surat (South Gujarat)” was held at Vatika Resort, Kamrej, where presidents and office-bearers of more than 40 bar associations backed a joint written resolution seeking establishment of a Gujarat High Court bench in Surat.

The resolution called for a united campaign and representations before the Gujarat High Court, state government and other competent authorities through democratic and constitutional means.

This is not just the demand of one city or one bar; this is the joint and reasonable demand of the entire South Gujarat legal community,” representatives of the Bar Council of Gujarat elected from the region said.

They described the gathering of more than 40 bar associations on a single platform as a demonstration of the region’s “unprecedented unity” and said the campaign would now be pursued in a more organised and sustained manner.
