Under the recruitment drive, 90 posts in the SEBC category, 180 in the ST category and 31 in the EWS category will be filled with Vidyasahayaks. This will address the long-standing shortage of teachers in the Education Committee.
Approximately 2 lakh students are studying in 380 schools. The new appointments of Vidyasahayaks will strengthen academic activities in the schools. With subject-wise teachers available in classrooms, the teaching of key subjects such as mathematics, science and languages will become more effective.
According to the Education Committee, "With enough teachers available, individual attention can be given to students in each class and the syllabus can be completed on time.
In addition, the arrival of young Vidyasahayaks will bring fresh energy to cultural, sports and co-curricular activities, directly benefiting 2 lakh students."
