12 Gujaratis missing on Kailash Mansarovar trip: Search operation intensified; families worried

According to the details recorded in the control room, the 12 missing people include 3 from Ahmedabad, 2 from Anand, 3 from Surat, 1 from Valsad, 1 from Rajkot, as well as 1 citizen from the USA and 1 from Australia who are originally from Gujarat. All these pilgrims had gone on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via the Kerung route through various travel agencies.
According to the details received, some pilgrims went missing after being caught in floods while they were near the Bhote Koshi River and Friendship Bridge at the Rasuwagadhi-Kerung border.
Contact could not be established with most of the pilgrims for the last 24 hours, which has caused a wave of deep concern among their families living in Gujarat. The local administration and SEOC are monitoring the rescue operations by remaining in constant contact with the Nepal authorities.
