The accused allegedly misused the company’s bank accounts and online banking system for more than five years between January 2021 and April 2026 to divert funds into various accounts. The investigation has been handed over to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW).
The case was registered following a complaint by Jitendra Gupta, owner of JK Express and JK Transline. The complaint alleges that Parin Taylor, an accountant associated with the two companies for around 11 years, misused his access to their bank accounts and online banking system. Gupta’s two companies operate a transport business with a fleet of 92 trucks across Mumbai, Surat and Rajkot.
According to the complaint, Gupta used to share one-time passwords (OTPs) received on his mobile phone with the accountant to authorise payments, including payments to petroleum companies. The accountant allegedly exploited this access by altering beneficiary details in payment-related sheets. Instead of the actual bank accounts used for payments to petroleum companies, account details allegedly belonging to the accountant, his relatives, acquaintances and other persons were entered.
