SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego Police Department released incident video Thursday related to an officer-involved shooting in North Park that left a suspect dead, three officers injured and a police K-9 wounded last month. The video shows footage related to the Sept.

16 shooting in the 4000 block of 30th Street. The incident began shortly after 9 a.m. near El Cajon Boulevard and Oregon Street, where officers responded to reports of a man allegedly acting violently with a metal rod and attempting to break into vehicles. Authorities said the man was also carrying a torch and flammable liquid, prompting a foot pursuit through the neighborhood.

The pursuit ended at the Adult Emporium store on 30th Street, where the suspect ran inside. Officers deployed bean bag rounds into the business before sending in a police K-9 to try and apprehend him. According to investigators, the suspect allegedly ignited a device he was holding, setting the K-9 on fire.
