The Dharavi Road Overbridge To Close Post Diwali
The bridge is planned to close after the festive rush, according to a report by Lokmat Times. However, the timeline remains subject to the finalisation of traffic diversions and the necessary approvals from authorities. The bridge serves as an important link for motorists travelling between Dharavi, Sion and neighbouring areas. Its closure is likely to affect daily travellers, making alternative routes and traffic management arrangements crucial.

Under the proposed reconstruction plan, Central Railway will handle the section of the new bridge spanning the railway tracks, while the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will construct the approach roads. Authorities are also expected to arrange pedestrian access through foot-over bridges or other suitable facilities before vehicular movement is stopped completely.
