Mumbai's BEST to upgrade eight routes to AC buses from October 5

The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking will convert eight bus routes into air-conditioned services from October 5 as part of a wider route rationalisation exercise. The changes will also include route extensions, revised alignments and additional peak-hour services on selected corridors. Routes connecting areas such as Byculla, Andheri, Mulund, Pratiksha Nagar, Santacruz and CBD Belapur are among those affected. BEST will also discontinue Route A-471 between Ghatkopar and Borivli East due to low passenger response, while modifying several other services.
