SHARES Mumbai Traffic Police have announced vehicular restrictions, road diversions and designated parking arrangements in Dadar ahead of the Shiv Sena (UBT) Dussehra Melava at Shivaji Park on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. The restrictions will remain in effect from 8 am to 11.55 pm to manage the expected influx of attendees from across Maharashtra and minimise traffic congestion.
Thousands of people are expected to travel to the venue by buses, cars and other vehicles. Heavy traffic is likely on the Western Express Highway, Eastern Express Highway and roads connecting Dadar, Mahim and Prabhadevi. Commuters have been advised to plan their journeys in advance and follow instructions issued by traffic police personnel.
Parking will be prohibited on eight roads and specified stretches in Dadar during the event. The restrictions are intended to maintain smooth traffic movement and keep roads accessible for emergency services.
Mumbai Traffic Police have announced several no-entry restrictions on roads leading towards Shivaji Park. Motorists should check the following diversions before travelling through Dadar and neighbouring areas.
Alternative route: Siddhivinayak Junction → S. K. Bole Road → Agar Bazar → Portuguese Church → Gokhale Road.
