Central Railway will undertake a special night traffic and power block on the Kasara route between October 24 and 25 to facilitate the relocation and removal of high-voltage electricity transmission towers between Asangaon and Atgaon. The work is part of the ongoing Kalyan –Kasara third railway line project.
According to Central Railway, the block will be implemented from 2:10 am to 3:55 am on the intervening nights of October 23–24 and October 24–25. The work will be carried out on the Up and Down North-East lines between Vasind and Atgaon to remove 110 kV transmission towers obstructing the alignment of the proposed third line.
During the block, the CSMT–Kasara local departing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) at 12:08 am will operate only up to Titwala. Passengers travelling beyond Titwala towards Kasara will need to make alternative travel arrangements.
Shalimar–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) Express will be regulated at Khardi, with a likely delay of around 1 hour and 50 minutes.
Another Shalimar–LTT Express will be held at Igatpuri and is expected to be delayed by approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
