Mumbai’s scorching October has raised a familiar question: will the city finally experience a proper winter this year, or will the heat and humidity linger well into the cooler months?
With temperatures touching 38°C earlier this month, the city has experienced an unusually intense post-monsoon spell. A seasonal outlook shared by CycloCast Weather India suggests that Mumbai could see cooler mornings in December and January, but daytime temperatures may remain relatively high. The outlook also points to limited chances of widespread winter rain, although isolated showers cannot be ruled out.
The immediate forecast offers little reason to expect a sudden shift to consistently cool weather. Rain prospects across parts of Maharashtra remain uncertain, and current weather models do not indicate a widespread rain spell for Mumbai and Pune.
Arghh. Not a good news. No moisture pull expected over Maharashtra reducing chance of widespread rain over the state as weather models are changing rain probabilities. Parts of South Maharashtra may still get rain. Mumbai, Pune to miss most of the rain as of now. Which means one more warm week ahead.
