Wildlife lovers will soon have a new way to explore Maharashtra’s forests and wildlife destinations. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation , in collaboration with the Maharashtra Forest Department, is launching five wildlife tour packages under the name ‘Vandarshan’.
The tours are scheduled to begin on November 19, the Hindustan Times reported citing an IRCTC official. “We have named this tour package, Vandarshan. It will commence on November 19. It will be our first such initiative, combining rail travel, accommodation, local transport and wildlife safari in a single package,” the official said.
Each package will cover five days and four nights, combining train travel, accommodation, local transport and wildlife safari arrangements. The tours are designed to make wildlife trips easier for travellers by bringing these services together in one package.
The five itineraries cover different wildlife destinations across Maharashtra, including Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve with Bor Tiger Reserve; Tadoba with Navegaon-Nagzira Tiger Reserve; Tadoba with Umred-Paoni-Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary; Tadoba with Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary; and Pench with Umred-Paoni-Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary.
