NEW DELHI: An 18-year-old Class 12 student was found in a burnt condition behind a school’s guard room in Delhi’s Krishna Nagar on Saturday.
Delhi Police said they received a PCR call about a fire at the school. Personnel from Krishna Nagar police station reached the spot and found the student in a burnt condition.
During preliminary proceedings, police recovered certain materials from the scene and the student’s school bag. The crime team was called to inspect the spot and collect evidence.
The girl’s elder sister told reporters that she had accompanied her to school to drop her off, along with her niece. She said the girl appeared happy and walked into the school smiling.
She was laughing when she went inside. I don’t know what happened after that,” the sister said.
