New Delhi: Delhi Police has stepped up security across the national capital, particularly in and around Connaught Place (CP), ahead of a proposed Tiranga Yatra called by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and backed by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday, October 16.
With a gathering proposed at Central Park in Connaught Place, traffic movement on several roads in central Delhi is likely to be affected from 3 pm onwards. Police have deployed thousands of personnel, installed additional CCTV cameras and prepared traffic-management measures to maintain law and order.
Authorities have also imposed prohibitory orders in Connaught Place and adjoining areas, while commuters have been advised to plan their journeys and use public transport wherever possible.
