Delete your account
Applies to the iamcity app and iamsuratcity.com · Eagle Wing Agency, Surat
In the app
Open Profile, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account. You confirm once, and the account is deleted straight away. You do not have to contact us and there is nothing to wait for.
On the website
Go to your account page, sign in with your phone number, and use Delete my account at the bottom. Same thing, same moment.
If you cannot sign in
Lost the number you signed up with? Message us on WhatsApp at +91 83200 62415 or email iamsuratcity@gmail.com from any address, telling us the phone number on the account. We verify it is yours and delete it within 30 days, usually the same week.
What happens to your posts
Everything you posted comes off the site immediately, and your personal details are wiped from those records: your name, phone number, email, WhatsApp number and social handles. What is left is an unpublished record with nobody attached to it, which is what lets us restore a listing if you ever delete by mistake.
This covers every section you can post in:
- Property, Bazaar, Tiffin, Classes, Doctors and Wedding listings.
- Connect noticeboard posts and blood requests.
- Voice complaints, Ganesh Aagman entries and Magazine submissions.
- Your job profile and your matrimony profile, including its photos.
What is erased outright
- Your login, so the number can no longer sign in.
- Your saved profile: name, phone and email.
- Your notification token, so the app stops messaging you.
- Your chat identity and any newsletter or daily brief subscription.
What we keep, and why
- Basic server logs (IP and browser, no name attached) for up to 90 days, which is what lets us stop spam and abuse.
- Records we are required by Indian law to hold, such as invoices for anything you actually paid for. These are financial records, not a profile of you.
Nothing in either list is used to contact you or rebuild your account. We do not sell personal data to anyone, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking services.
